The teams who will attend the $123,000 global league finals in Dallas have been determined.
After a month and a half of league play, eight teams from the inaugural ESL Impact League have secured spots at the $123,000 LAN finals which are set to be played at IEM Dallas. The league featured three divisions — Europe, North America, and South America — with two additional qualifiers for the finals being held for Oceania and South Africa.
In the Europe division, Galaxy Racer fe dominantly topped their group, only losing a single map in the process. In their playoff match to qualify for the LAN finals, they once again easily came out on top over GODSENT fe, securing victory in two maps.
En route to securing the second Europe spot, equipa had some trouble as they lost multiple series, albeit some were to Galaxy Racer fe. In the playoffs they faced the newly signed NAVI Javelins, and edged out a win over the Polish team in three maps to secure their spot.
Down in South America, there was little competition for the two qualified teams as neither of them dropped a series between the group stage and playoffs, with FURIA fe not even dropping a single map and Black Dragons fe securing multiple 16-0 victories in Group B.
The North American league unfolded in similar fashion as CLG Red were a dominant force from start to finish, topping Group A in flawless form before securing qualification with a win over Slay. The second finals spot was earned by the other team from Group A, Please Send Help, who came out on top over Group B's top seed in a three-map series.
For South Africa and Oceania, there were open qualifiers held to award a spot in the finals to one team from each region. The Oceania qualifier, which only featured two teams, was topped by Mindfreak, a lineup headlined by Vivienne "BiBiAhn" Quach. In the slightly more filled South African qualifier, ATK fe won in a very close grand final, winning two maps in overtime.
